Over the last few years Leicester has shaken off its musical history link to Englebert Humpadink, Shoddy woddy (sic), and Diesel Park West, and become a life affirming city of lights sound, and most of all great bands.
Kasabian may have started this new confidence, and there are local bands emulating the Manchester meets Primal Scream sound, but there is also a brave experimental side, and a wonderful Psychedelic side, it must be something the put it the water, but the nu-Psych revival starts here.
